Got prompted for an update with our 23 Touring. It had 2 audio update files under details.

No. It only mentioned the 2 audio files updated.

Mine announced the update as I got to work, and shut it down.

I did mine yesterday. I found the update process the easiest to do of any car I have had recently. Once again, kudos to Honda!

I have owned my 2024 for exactly 4 months now and I have never signed in as owner and I have never done any updates. I do not even know kf I have updates due. This is one thing I was not planning on messing with in this car. I just want to drive my car and not need to be updating things in it.

Can I do an update without signing into the car?

I don't think it has anything to do with whether you are signed in or not. I think the car does it all on it's own, and you may or may not be aware of them.

I can't recall signing in to my 2023 Hybrid Touring. The updates just showed up, probably based on VIN. If updates apply to you there should be an indication on the screen, or you can just go to the "Updates" section on the screen and it will tell you if any apply to your car. If so, then easy to apply, as I said above.

Mine was done in 2 parts, once this morning, and then when I stopped after work to get some groceries.

Mine failed but at least the car is still drivable, Alexa still works, and CarPlay still works. I made an appointment at the dealer for Monday.
