After a lot of research I think I'll try this thing. Know some feel it is bogus and just press the pedal harder or the cash is better spent on a real mod and I get that. Thing is I will never do engine performance mods less a kn drop in. It's a leased car, so what's the point? Plus I have to keep it quiet for work and after years of modding older gen civics and crx si, I know u have to be willing to spend a good deal to really get something noticible. That said, I remember one of the things I did on every car with a throttle cable was to take all the slack out. Even to the point of gaining a 100 rpm or so higher rev at idle. Why? Throttle response time. Whether single or multiport it always made a difference and was noticible. 10 years ago I didn't have the cash to do more than Cbe, intake, rip out the lower air box. Now I have the cash but can't. So...why not give it a shot. Yes it's $350 bones but if what I read on all the different forums (for a multitude of cars) is true, it's a fancy way of doing what I used to w the throttle cable. If it's half as impactful as I've heard, I'm sure I'll be happy and there is a money back guarantee anyway. I find the i4 auto like a wet sponge off the line most times. It's great once u r up to speed bUt low end sucks and this thing is supposed to help that.

Yep. I've clearly convinced myself. So I'll report back once I get it going. I do plan to call my local Honda dealer first to get their perspective but read some Honda techs use them without issue. Also, in Canada some Honda Acura dealers sell them btu still want to check for warranty issues. Tho I'd like remove tO before service to be safe.

Anyways. I'll let u all know.

I'm new to the honda world (small engine) but from what i've read you want to spend 300 for a chip that will fool your computer to make it run lean and cause damage to the valves, in theory. Is there a dyno tune you can do for the same price? that would be better and more realistic, IDK maybe a tech could give his/her input

actually it's not a chip. It goes inbetween your throttle position sensor and ecu. It boosts the signal from the tps. When u put your foot on the pedal there is a lag due to the drive by wire mechanism. With a throttle cable u can adjust. Without it u can't till now. Basically it takes your minimal input from the foot pedal and amplifies it by 30-40%. If u floor it u will not see much of a difference. If u drive normally all the reviews I have seen state very noticible gains in throttle response and shifting in the low end of the rpm range.
No gp gain and true, faster reaction and more pedal do the same thing but I've experienced the throttle cable Adjustment and I know it's there bid it does it for the DBw great. If not I can return.

Hi guys,

Sprint Booster is used by many BMWs and Audis. They used it to offset the sluggish feeling of driving off from a stand point position. This is partly due to the heavier car they designed.

Sprint Booster does not allow you to regulate after installing but it keeps draining off gas every time u step harder, so not economical. But i was told they did have a latest version which might offer some kind of mode to choose.

For Accord, the best gadget is to install a Pivot brand controller. The installation is similar to Speed Booster but it comes w 7 modes of either fuel saving or speed mode as in the more u depress yr accel, the more u open the throttle valves. But its fuel saving mode allows u to save fuel when u are caught in a jam or dont feel like pushing yr car too hard.

Cheers!

mattchattwin has this installed (he has the v2 i believe). He said nothing but good things about it so I wouldn't think twice about getting one... if I had money to blow. It'll be one of the very last mods I'll do, but hey, I'll still do it.

I think there's a big common misconception about these boosters... but I can't really find the words to explain it right now 'cause I haven't experienced using one.

i just put one in last week. It is VERY noticeable. the car "feels" much more responsive and quicker. the transmission shifts much better with the sprint booster. the only downside is that the car drives much jerkier. I have not seen any decline in MPG either.
