Hey guys,

Recently my tranny light been coming on and off. I realize that most of the time that it is on has to do with my battery that is corroded. I cleaned my battery so many times but it still ends up corroding. I know my terminal cables are corroded as well at least the positive side is. Anyone got any good suggestions for swapping out the battery terminal cables to a better one? I'm probably thinking to swap out both the terminal cables as well as the battery. But if it is not the battery that is causing the tranny light keep coming on and off randomly what could be another possibility and how should I check?

4cyl or V6? Does it work fine otherwise?

Buy new OEM cables, and a new battery. Report back.

Posting a problem without vehicle specs is a total waste of everyone's time... As well as "Tranny Issue", could it be a battery problem? Are you fricking kidding me?

Test Post - "Performance sucks everyday at lunch time"... Can anyone confirm that a 8th Gen Coupe doesn't like McDonald's cheddar cheese?
Incredible... :frown

EDIT: After extensive testing, 8th Gen seems to have no problem with Wendy's or Burger King... Ya just gotta love this nonsense.

Never heard of transmission problem because of battery. To stop the corrosion, get a $1 pack of battery grease from auto zone and smear it on all ground points and both battery terminals. I do a clean and re-grease twice a year, once before the winter, and once in the spring. NO corrosion EVER.
