Are you going to sell your car if it is true?
If you check the specs:
2008 Accord sedan: 14.0 ft³ trunk volume
2013 Accord sedan: 15.8 ft³ trunk volume, except Touring: 15.5 ft³
Keep in mind that's volume. So while there are more cubic ft in the 2013 trunk, the square ft (LxW) might be less, if the height is higher in the 2013, which gives a bigger volume.

The real question is can you put everything you want to carry on a trip in the trunk. My dad was a traveling salesman and sold luggage. He had to buy a car that could carry several sample suit cases in the trunk. When he shopped for a new car he would fill the trunk of the prospective car with his samples to make sure the car could carry what he needed to make a living. BTW emptying your trunk will improve your gas milaige.
