If I could add (not me of course but a professional) a 360 camera aftermarket system to aid in parking etc this car would have everything I want. The only reason I would consider leaving for the newer Toyota Prius is this. Such a game changer of a feature. I would be willing to pay up to 2k instead of having to change vehicles. I love this car and that's the feature I'm longing for. Ugh.

I really would have thought someone would have a serious choice/option...

A quick search online seems to indicate that there are aftermarket systems available, but I don't think that I've ever seen one installed on a vehicle that didn't come with it from the factory. An aftermarket system would likely be very expensive- probably close to your $2000 budget for a decent system. The problem being- you'd then be reliant on the installer for any issues that pop up- and none of it would likely be covered by your car insurance if your vehicle ever needed repairs after an accident.

It's kinda surprising that Honda doesn't offer a 360 camera system in the Accord yet. Most of their competitors have offered them for a while. I think the Camry started offering it back in 2018, the Sonata back in 2020, Nissan has been offering it for a while too. Honda does offer it on some of their SUVs, so maybe Honda will add it to the Accord during the mid-cycle refresh for 2026.

If you really want one- that's what I would probably do. I'd wait to see what changes are in store with the 2026 Accord refresh- and if they don't offer it- perhaps consider trading your existing Accord in for a vehicle that comes with one from the factory. Aftermarket stuff like this can be complex and you really need to find a shop that knows what they are doing- and will back up their work. If you have one of those available locally- great... if not, I'd probably prefer to stick with an OEM system myself.

I know that you said that you were looking at potentially replacing your Accord with a Prius- have you looked into the 2025 Camry? Its MPG is only a little bit lower than the 2025 Prius and it's probably a car that's closer to your Accord in terms of comfort and size. You can get a 360 camera in either the XLE or XSE trims- and those get in the high 40s in terms of MPG (or mid-40s if you opt for AWD). I think the Prius gets either 50 (AWD) or 52mpg (FWD) in the Limited trim with the 360 system.

Thank you so much for your reply!

I agree with you on all points.

I really like the mpg of the Prius and the Camry seems blah to me. I also like the smaller size of the Prius. I just don't know what it's like to drive a Prius but I've owned a Camry and driven the 2025. Blah but a great car overall.
Yeah more than likely I'll just trade it in. Maybe in another year or so. I'd totally be ok with a used 25 Prius in a couple years.

3 Camera
Been using this for a year and it does front, cabin and rear.
Less than $50 and if you don't like it, you have 30 days return.
It does seem good. I really want something to help me in front parking so I don't go too far and scrape the bottom of the front end. Unsure if this can help in that. I'll read on it!

I will tell you that Toyota's 360 Camera system is top-notch. They use the same exact system on Lexus products. I have it on my Highlander and it makes parking a breeze. When you combine the parking sensors with automatic emergency braking with the camera system, it makes it pretty impossible to do any damage when parking. The only problem, of course, is that it doesn't stop someone else from backing into you in a crowded lot.

If you end up getting the Prius, make sure you drive one with the digital rearview camera option too- which only costs $200 on the Limited. Some people think that it's a useless option- but when you have the cargo area full, it makes it so that you can still see out the back. I love that feature in my Highlander. Just don't look up the replacement cost of that mirror if it ever breaks... ha ha.

Chinese Market has more features in stock Accord than any other. They even have interior ambient lighting as well along with 360 cam. I am not sure , even lets say we got hands on oem hardware will our factory software support that 360 view ?

How do those 360 cameras work? There has to be several cameras with a combined view? Where are the cameras typically located? Having never had a car with a 360 view, I always wondered about that.
Yeah, it's a whole bunch of cameras, under the exterior mirrors, under the door handles, etc., and then the computer stiches together the birds-eye view...
Yep- there's usually a camera in the front grille, one underneath each side mirror, and then it taps into the rearview camera- at least that's the way that the system works on my Highlander- but I think Honda/Acura's system works pretty much the same way.
