What's up DA!

I just a quick question for the 8th gen peeps! How do you guys deal with the water drop marks from the side mirrors after washing the car? Sometimes I let the car dry for like 2 days but the moment I drive, water gushes out of the side mirror and makes nasty water drop marks on the side of the car! Anybody else have the same problem?

Thanks!

I know exactly what you're talking about!!! I just wipe it again after it sprays out. It's hella annoying

Sometimes I don't like to wipe it off because this happens after driving... So the paint surface already has dust and it could scratch the paint!

I've tried using air compressors but there's still something left behind.

I like to use those compressed air dusters for your computer. It provides a decent amount of air in a very concentrated direction to get the water out.

I'm not an 8th generation peep so I'm not qualified to answer but I'll give you a hint. It's called a leaf blower.
++ I used to fold the mirrors OUT and since the drive way slopes down, it drains most of the water out. Ever since I started using the leaf blower to dry the car, it also blew out all the water inside the mirrors in seconds!!!

I try to blow out as much air as possible while drying the car then fold in the mirror to allow it to dry faster. Even if I did this, there's still some water hiding inside and causes some drip marks... Grrr pisses me off lol!

Sorry to hear about that!! I can just imagine your pain!

LOL! Doesn't this scratch the paint finish? What do you use? Some type of quick detailer or ONR?

Thanks to all for replying! I'm glad I'm not the only 8th Gen owner who's going crazy!

what?? I don't like the spots or in this case the water streaks that it creates. It's bad for the paint in the long run esp if this happens all the time.

you are correct. if you let water spots dry and leave it on sun, overtime it will start eating clear coat and will be etched into clear coat and hard to remove, so get microfiber towel and dry it after next trip after washing the car so its not left on it. it doesnt look good and bad for paint

get mr clear autodry car wash thing. it does good job to remove minerals that couse water spots, we use it at shop for reason that water is yellow and it cleans it great. need to get water filters
