I've been noticing that my all black interior is starting to fade a bit (I live in FL) and I want to know what some of you recommend for the dash and leather areas. I'm not a huuuuge car guy, so I'd like to know what the best product is out there. Windows are being tinted as we speak while I'm at work so hopefully that alone will help a bit, but I will take any recommendations you may have. Thank you! Btw, I'll be getting the products from walmart, or discount auto.

You will find marginal products at Walmart or Discount auto. Since their price point for these products is in the $3-4 range. Which works for the masses I suppose.

For $10 I recommend SurfCity Dash Away for the dash, steering wheel, seats, rubber door seals, all plastic trim. Cleans and leaves protection behind.

SurfCity also has a leather rejuvinator that is very good. Google the preceeding. There's other good products that others will recomend also. These are professional grade. What does that mean? Use them and find out then you will be hooked.

DO NOT USE ARMOR ALL unless you like liquid garbage in a bottle.

ty very much. Ya, I will never use Armor All again. Used it in my old car and it left a nasty film all over which is why I was seeking better products. Thank you for the info! If I dont get any other responses Ill go ahead and order what you recommended as my car only deserves the best ;)

I've had tremendous results with Mink Oil. It's made to treat and protect leather boots. You buy it at any decent shoe store. With black leather, black shoe polish will quickly hide cracks. Just be sure to buff it clean or you'll get it on your clothes. Shoe polish then mink oil.

Everyone will have their own favorites, lots of decent products available today.
I've used many but my favorite product line is from Zaino Brothers.

Zaino Brothers Z-9 leather soft spray cleaner - I also use this on the dash and door panels

after using the Z-9 to clean the seats I follow up with Zaino Brothers Z-10 leather in a bottle, there is no buffing required for the Z-10 conditioner, smells great too just like leather.

a bottle of each last me about a year, I use the cleaner every week and the conditioner about every 4-6 weeks.

Lexol cleaner and Lexol conditioner are also good but the cleaner requires rinsing and the conditioner requires buffing out after it dries, a little more work and the results are not quite as good as the Zaino Bros products IMO.

Aerospace 303 is also good for dash and door panels with some built in sun protection.

I'm sure other opinions will follow ...

That is VERY interesting I must say but should be a no brainer.

This has been done to death folks. SWAG, enter leather in the search at the top of the page and NINE pages will appear. Most have asked the same questions you have a hundred times over. Go through the pages you may learn something.

I'll give you a hint.........your leather is covered in plastic so using leather conditioner is a joke. Use conditioners for vinyl.

will do. but you spent as much time telling me to search for it, as it would have taken you to give me a recommendation. heaven forbid a thread pops up that talks about previously discussed issues. Other then you, everyone has been very helpful. ty.

thanks guys! Also recommendations for the dash area to prevent fading but nothing will keep it "filmy"
The SC Dash Away has a matte finish and is protected from uv rays. It also seems to be antistatic so it stays nice for awhile. Has a money back guarantee on the bottle if it's not the best product you have used.

I get the stuff locally:

You don't read well do you? I did give you a recommendation aside from the obvious which was to search. Had you spent even two seconds searching you would not have had to make yet another post that has been asked a hundred times. By the way the best tip you have received is that your leather seat is encased in plastic although you don't even realize it yet. You're welcome.
