I was really contemplating about getting HID, and I probably will get it. I was wondering which ones are reliable and which one people got. Can you guys tell me where you got yours, and how good it is? Or, if anyone's heard of a really reliable ones, then I'd like to know that as well.
I'm thinking about going with 6000K. I'm only doing that for the low beam, but What's the low beam bulb size for 2008 Accord Coupe? I've heard H11 and 9006 and all others, so I wasn't really sure.
Thanks:banana:

I bought my kit from ebay from this guy. I chose the 5000k color temp. The light has a slight blue tint. Took about 1/2 hour to install and works great. Not bad for $75

i would be interested in the 55 watt kit so when you get the email let me know...

does anyone know how much brighter these 55 watt kits are? ive never heard of them until now. ive seen one picture of a 5000k kit that was supposedly 55 watts...it was the whitest i have ever seen, looked very nice

There is really no need for the 55W HID, the 35W version is plenty bright enough at 3 times the intensity of the standard halogen lights, overpowering the headlight is just going to tick off other drivers ahead of you or coming towards you.

I have found the high beams on my car only illuminate a little further than the 35W HID low beams, this ought to tell you how bright the 35W HID are already, don't over-do it with the 55W HID as a common courtesy and safety for your fellow drivers.

How can you say "don't over-do it with the 55W HID as a common courtesy and safety for your fellow drivers" when you just said 35 watt hid is 3 times the intensity of standard halogen lights? If this is the case your already blinding oncoming traffic with the 35 watts.

And with me putting 55 watt hid's in a projector weather it be a hid projector or a halogen projector, there is still a cut off line so there is no blinding light to other drivers or on coming traffic.Yeah there might be if your laying on the ground and below the cut off,but thats purpose the projector serves is to put the light on the ground and not at other drivers.
You should be saying ,I wouldn't recommend putting 55 watt hids in a halogen reflector housing.....

I'm not tring to start anything, I'm just saying the way the light comes out of a reflector housing and projector or hid projector housings are completly different.

I drove with my 35W HID behind a co-worker at night a couple of months ago when I first installed the 35W kit after much consideration and reading in doing so in a reflector housing, and asked him the next day if he had any blinding issues, he said absolutely not and he added that he is actually quite sensitive with people driving with misaligned headlights and he didn't even notice my headlights at all.

I've also swapped cars with friends with them driving my car behind me, I found my HID lights a little brigher than normal headlights but not overwelmingly so, which relieved me a great deal since I WOULD remove these if I thought they were going to be blinding to on-coming drivers or those driving in front of me.

Perhaps 55W HID won't be too bad in your application, but why do it when there is no need? Is this the "if a little is good, than more is better" mentallity? Especially given that not matter how well controlled the light beam is, the source of the light WILL be brighter which most likely will cause issues with other drivers.

I will agree with you that 55W in a reflector housing will almost certainly cause problem, and I suspect is the issue with an older VW Jetta I saw which most likely had these 55W kits, it's %$#*&^% blinding as he came up behind me with very noticeable blue colour, much brighter than other HID kits I have seen installed on Civics, Integras etc. and other Accords.

I will agree with you there Aviography, at night some cars coming at me with hids are god awful blinding!! I figure it must be PnP kit in a reflector housing..lol I know some PnP kits take to reflector housings well my friend has a RSX type-s and his seen fine to me.
On side note, tonight I drove behind a cop for a few miles on a local road here and I didn't get pull over but also with these projectors all the light was on his rear bumper and below so no scattered light blinding him.

Also, I recieved an email form Todd at http://www.retro-solutions.com/ ,he can't do the same deal as he did for me but can still save some people some money. If you went with the same setup as me,35 watt fogs and 55 watt headlights both digital ballast and lifetime warranty it would be $320 shipped. If you wanted them in just 35 watts i'm sure its cheaper, just email Todd on his main page there and mention what I said and he'll take care of you.

Its pretty decent. Its not gonna be great or anything since its in a reflector housing. I'll try to take some night pics of it if I have the time.

If your going to get HIDs, you shouldn't get anything higher than 6000k. 4300k is stock for most vehicles, and is going to provide the most usable light. The higher the K the more blue the light will appear, but the less usable light you will have (especially when the roads are wet).
