Hi, I apologize if this question has been asked before (newbie)
I will soon need to replace my OEM Michelins 205 60 16.
Is there a low noise, long life, good MPG tire to replace them?
I need an all season tire.
Thanks :)

I've been tire shopping for months now to prepare for next winter since I have 42k on stock michelins and I work in NH now and they get more snow than mass. After searching and reading reviews I came to my final two tires Bridgestone turanza serenity or Michelin primacy mxv4 and size will be 215 55 17. Hope this helps you with your decision. good luck.

also...our stock michelin pilot hx have terrible reviews but they cost so much (187.00) each. But they do last ....after 42k I still have about 60-70% thread left. My experience with michelins on my current accord and my previous Si has been great..never gave me trouble...just noisy. Any wana buy my stock tires?

I put Yokohama YK520's on. My size is 215/50/17. I've been pleased with them. They are much quieter and less expensive than the OEM Michelins. They've got me through the winter here in the NW including some light snow. I will get snow tires next year though.

Which Tires?

I have about 8K on a set of Bridgestone G009's on a '05 LX V6. They are quieter than the stock Turanza's but not quite as good in the mileage department. I get 1 maybe 2MPG less with them.

I've just installed a set of Kumho KH16 tires on my car. It's very quiet, handles well, and much much cheaper than the Yokohama Avids I originally wanted to get. I only paid $337 including tax, or $77 each. It's a great deal and according to Kumho, it comes with a 60k miles warranty. It's a very good deal.

I have been running the earlier mentioned Bridgestone Taranza's. I can not recommend these tires enough. After 40K miles they are still running smooth and true.

Cooper CS4s..........

........this is true. At 50k, my tread depth: 6/32 all around. New: around 10/32 IIRC.

Yeah (1) they are costly; (2) they DO last and (3) they do get some dogshit revues............................

best, ez....

I just purchased the primacy mxv4 for my car and I absoutely love them. I had stock michelin, sumitomor htr +, cooper touring tires, bf goodrich traction t/a, and now the michelin primacy tires. The primacy tires are amazing. So much quieter then any of the other tires I owned plus very comfortable ride. It also handles great. Great in rain but no snow driving yet. I got these from sams club at a great price. You should check them out.

I too like the Kumho KH16. I do love michelin tires but the costs is so steep. A 40-50 premuim sometimes over a brand like Kumho, General Tire is hard to take. I probably wont go with Michelin again, will give these lower cost brands a try. And lasty Falken tires are forever off my shopping list, the treadwear stink.

I agree with RTF, I've had my Yok V4S for a couple of years now and I still love them, very quiet, grippy (wet or dry), hold their pressure very well, no flatspotting in cold weather, and going to 225/55/16 I didn't see a reduction in FE.

I put 225/55/16's on my 04 coupe, but I chose general exclaim uhp's - top rated by tirerack.com for uhp 4 season tires I think and fairly cheap - about $80/tire and a good wear rating. I guess it depends a lot on your driving style, climate, budget and performance vs comfort/noise preferences. These seem to be a good compromise for my, but I have no snow or cold temps to worry about.

I just bought Falken ze512's from discount tire for $55 per tire. I've read that treadwear is a concern but at that price I couldn't pass up.

Triple Treads all the way

I tried out the Dunlop Sport Signatures on my car last fall and after driving more than 2000 miles with them they were still very slick. Granted, I'm somewhat of a "spirited" driver but they were way too slick for comfort Highway driving in the rain was rather scary since they didn't seem to handle wet roads very well. I returned them for Goodyear Assurance TripleTreads, they are awesome tires! They definitely grip better and feel much more stable! I've put over 8,000 miles on them and they are still gripping and handling well. I highly recommend the TripleTreads!

Anyone have any experience with General Altimax HP? They get great reviews on tirerack.

I two agree with two others you can not go wrong with good yr assurance triple tread, great life and great in wet! Deep snow another story for all tires. But again great on wet roads which is why I got them. I am planning to buy them again.
