Does anyone have pictures of difference? Or cars side by side? Doesn't make sense to have 2 whites on the accord.
White Orchid Pearl is exclusive to the Accord Hybrid while Platinum White Pearl is for the non-Hybrid models.

Honda use at least three "metallic whites" - White Diamond Pearl, White Orchid Pearl, and Platinum White Pearl.

White Diamond Pearl is "off-white". White Orchid Pearl is whiter. Platinum White Pearl is the whitest.

Still, White Diamond Pearl isn't as deep, rich, or elegant as GM's White Diamond Tricoat that's been offered at extra cost for many years on a variety of models.

Platinum White Pearl is very white and similar to BMW's Mineral White Metallic - a very sterile color that often looks like "rental/company-car white" except at certain angles in certain lighting.

My Ridgeline is White Diamond Pearl and my Accord is Platinum White Pearl. Sitting side-by-side in the garage, the Ridgeline looks slightly yellow/beige while the Accord looks like a sheet of bright white copy paper.

White Orchid here.
As mentioned, it’s a tad more “off-white” than the platinum. I could barely tell the difference when looking at the two separately but could see the difference side by side as there was an Orchid civic next to a platinum accord on the lot. I prefer the Orchid personally but not really enough to make a difference if I specifically wanted a hybrid or regular.

FWIW, I used to have a White Diamond Crosstour, which was more noticeably "off-white" than the other two.

Couldn't have said it better myself - and I've got the same car too.

I've got a White Orchid Hybrid Touring, and I like the color a lot. As others have said, it looks pretty bright white on its own, and you can only see a difference with the Platinum white if cars are side-by-side. I wanted the Ivory interior, and it took some doing to find one, as it seemed like a majority of the White Orchid hybrids had the black interior.

(Both look great, but we have hot summers here, and so wanted a light interior.)

The only other color that I thought about for a while was the Champagne Frost (also with Ivory).

I hadn't realized that there were two whites, until walking into the dealer lot to see their one Touring HAH I saw another white one right next to it, that I thought had a quite noticeably different finish. The sun was shining brightly, so I tried to get identical close-ups to show to others. If figured our how to upload them, the should be Platinum White, then White Orchid.

The Platinum has a more "matte" like finish, with larger speckles. (Edit: trying to see if original pictures will post).

I have a question about the Platinum White Pearl, the paint supplier for the usual body shop I use to fix my cars doesn't carry the match for the NH-883P, the owner told me that if I wanted to get the closest color match I would need to get the paint myself, he told me that it is a three stage paint and I understand that part the thing I have had problems with is that according to his supplier the clear-coat is not a regular one, that it actually have some kind of smoked tint, none of the providers I have spoken to mentions or knows anything about the specific clear-coat, I cannot find information about this matter anywhere, do you guys have any recommendations?

Thanks

Disclaimer: I am not a paint or body expert, but I believe the information below is true to the best of my knowledge. I encourage experts to chime in and correct me if I'm wrong.

Both White Diamond Pearl and Platinum White Pearl are "three-stage" paint jobs - base color coat, mid pearl coat, and top clear coat. As far as I know, the top coat is clear.

The Bordeaux Red Metallic used on the Clarity Fuel Cell has a tinted clear coat. The Nouvelle Blue Pearl and Valencia Red Pearl on the NSX use tinted clearcoats and so do the Performance Red Pearl and Apex Blue Pearl on the RDX.

And, tinted clearcoats are nothing new - my Rio Red 1995 Ford Probe had tinted clearcoat.

I'd like to correct a statement in the 2nd post. I have a 2019 Accord Touring Hybrid and its paint is Platinum White Pearl. My old, 2013 EX-L was Orchid White Pearl.

I like the new, Platinum White Pearl MUCH better! I can actually see the pearl effect in all lighting. The Orchid Pearl always looked "plain white" to me in the shade.

BTW, I don't think the "paint samples" in Post #8 are very accurate at all. My Platinum White looks nothing like the sample shown there.
