I bought a 2013 MSM with the black interior because (a) that's all the dealer had (poor excuse) and (b) the beige interior had a black dash and carpet anyway. What's the deal with black interiors? They show lint/dust much more than any other color, and they are hotter in the summer. I HATE black interiors! Hello Honda! I want an option of an other-than-black interior. Gray. Tan. Hell - pink! Am I in the minority here?

The MSM does come in gray or ivory (tan) leather

I had to search high and low to find an MSM with black leather interior. I have kids that play baseball, my previous vehicle was black leather. I can not imagine what gray or ivory would have looked like after the dirt and clay got all over. The black was actually really easy to keep clean with their baseball mess. So I went black again. Not to mention I think it looked that sharpest with the MSM. It may be a bit hotter in summer, but thats why you auto roll the windows down and tint. Its nothing that inst manageable.

Yes, go away

No really though, I love my black interior... The heat shouldn't be an issue once I get my tint/windshield reflector... As far as dust, eh, I keep a small duster handy :D

To each his own, I think it's worth the maintenance...

The kids would be riding in the trunk :lmao:

Brown is a hideous, boring color that should have died after the 70's ended. Except for scotch. Then the color brown is ok.

I prefer it because it looks sophisticated in my opinion. 2/3 of my vehicles have had tan interior though and all the cars I've had with leather have always been "ivory" or beige.

Lol. :lmao:

I like black interior because it is easier to keep it clean and you couldn't really tell they are dirty most of the time unless the dusts. Ivory interiors overtime they'll get yellowish especially the seats.

The black interior doesn't make the car hot, it's the dark EXTERIOR color that makes it hot. Light gray and tan are the worst two interior colors for showing dirt so good luck with that if you get one of those. IMO black interiors look better and sportier. Black interiors also don't show dirt (unlike black exteriors).

Black interiors look the best imo. Tan and grey look dirty and worn quicker. I'd rather deal with dust than a worn out look

If you're the suit & tie or city type, then a light colored interior holds up fine. If you live in a rural are and work in the woods (me), it does fare well. If the tan interior has black carpet, that's an improvement from what Honda used to do (tan carpet).

Because the red hfp floormats only add 10hp if matched to a black interior.

My 2000 Accord Coupe has an ivory leather interior with a darker brown dash. The leather still looks good with only one seam on the driver's side starting to wear. The color is easy to keep clean and the driver's side has become darker from wear. My new Accord has a black leather interior and it did not get too hot to sit on when the temperatures were over 100 degrees this summer. I loved the combination of the red exterior with the Ivory interior. I'm glad the 2013 car came with a black interior because it looks very sporty.

I'm with you. Its like sitting in a dark depressing cave.

Black dash with light interior, fine. Black carpet with light interior, fine. But black all the way to my shoulder and change color at on my side!? That's a NO-NO...

Not even my cheap 2012 Civic does that (but I heard they changed it for 2013 too)

Why do people love "big boned" chicks? Why do people love "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills"? Why do people love the Cubs? I have no idea, but to each his own.

You can also get gray interior in MSM. My dealer insisted on my taking one, but I told them no. They eventually conceded and got me a black one from 160 miles away at same price. You should've done the same. No offense, but you should've given more thought to the color issue before you took delivery. Black is a very popular interior color. My prior car and wife's car both had gray leather interiors and they are nice, too.

Black interior strikes me the same way, way way too dark, makes everything bland looking, horrible interior color. I do agree color choices for the Accord stink, my '88 Accord had a very nice fairly dark maroon red wine interior color that I absolutely loved and it didn't show any signs of dirt or wear even after 13 years. Why they abandoned that color I don't know, and in those days even the top of the line LXi coupe didn't offer leather, but it was a very stylish heavy duty cloth weave that held up great. What they offer now-a-days is really sad in comparison.

I personally find tan and other light colored interiors hideous. I like the fact that the black interior doesn't reflect a lot of light during the day -- I like hiding in my cave.

Different strokes for different folks.
