I decided to post this write up because the instructions that came with it were not super helpful in terms of getting the spoiler positioned with the double sided tape that is provided with the kit. I almost got myself into trouble, but quick thinking saved the day.

Step 1:
Find your paint code before ordering. It's on a tag on your driver's side door sill. I ordered mine from Amazon for $99 plus shipping.

Step 2: unpack the wing and apply the supplied 3M double sided tape per the instructions. I used a razor knife to cut the ends of the 3M tape for nice edges.
Find a place to set down the wing. I used a bush next to my car :lmao:

Step 3: make sure your decklid is clean and use the 3 locator tabs to position the wing. I taped the locators to the underside of the wing, then taped them a little better to the decklid. This made it easier to lift the wing up, leaving the tabs behind, which will be used as guides to drill your pilot holes. Sorry no photos because the included instructions cover that pretty well.

Step 4 : drill pilot holes with an 1/8" drill bit and then with a larger drill bit. I used a 5/16 bit for the final holes. You will be drilling 3 holes total. Once the first hole is made, you are fully committed to this project:thmsup::thmsup:

Step 5 : test fit the wing with the 3M tape in place, but don't peel away the red film yet. You need to take the under trunk cover off to get access to the bolt holes from underneath. You want to put the wing in place and see if your holes match with the threaded bosses on the wing. One of my holes was just a little off, so I had to open it up just a touch. Now here's where it gets interesting. If you were to peel back the film off the double sided tape, you would have to place the wing perfectly on the first try. There is no guarantee you can do that free hand. There are probably 10 ways to do this, but I decided to get a few longer 10mm bolts from my tool box (luckily from years of Honda ownership, I have a cache of miscellaneous hardware laying around).

Step 6: Install the longer bolts that you may, or may not have laying around to act as 'stand offs' to hold the wing in place, but to give you a gap big enough to peel off the backing from the 3m adhesive tape while holding the wing in the correct spot. In the photo you can see the long bolts and the gap that's big enough to get your fingers in there to pull the tape backing off.

Step 7: Once the backing is removed from the 3M tape, you can slowly lower the wing utilizing the 3 longer 10mm bolts as guides. Then stick the wing down and apply pressure to every inch of its perimeter to make sure the tape sticks. This will make sure you have no gaps to keep water and dirt out from under the wing. Remove the 3 long bolts and install the 3 short ones that come with the kit. Tighten, but don't go Conan the Barbarian on them.

That's it. It took me about 30-45 minutes start to finish.

Before: Plain Jane.. and yes I know my exhaust tips are missing.

After: I love it. Such a cheap and easy mod, but looks great.

Also make sure to line the drilled holes with some sort of touch up paint to protect the exposed edges. Although it is unlikely, better to be safe than sorry because rust is a PITA!
That's a great callout. I decided not to due to being in AZ... never rains and no road salt. Things dry out pretty quickly out here. Now you make me want to tear it apart and protect the edges :D

Thanks for this thread! I just received my lip spoiler from them (via Amazon) today and plan to install tomorrow on my 2008 Accord EX-L V6.

I've been reading some threads regarding 3M tape only or bolt/tape combo. Prefer not to drill if possible, but where I live, temperatures seriously swing by 120 degrees F from winter to summer (Chicago).

I did exactly this, but used some touchup paint on the holes as well as some 3m strip caulk to prevent any water getting into the trunk.

Great write up. I bolted mine so I wouldn't have to worry about it ever flying off. I had another car's spoiler hit my car years ago, so not cool.
