Hey all

Trying to pin down yearly changes to the 03-07 accord. Here's what I have so far...

03: debut
04: V6s get traction ctrl, side airbags standard on EX 4-cylinders (not just EX V6 like in 03), sat radio added to EX-L and EX V6.
05: hybrid added, curtain side airbags standard on all models
06: slightly new front and new taillights and rear bumper
07: none?

Any others that anyone is aware of? Am I missing any? Thanks!

I believe VSA was added to all models in 2006 to supplant the TCS. It may just have been the V6 model, but I know my 2004 V6 only had TCS, whereas my 07 V6 has VSA.

In 2007, they added the SE-V6 in between the LX-V6 and EX-V6 trims.

Also, in 2006, they added a 6-speed transmission to the sedan model. Heated side mirrors were added in 2006 to the EX and above, and DRLs were added to all models in 2006. 17" wheels were added to all V6 models in 2006. GPS system was upgraded. DX model was removed, supplanted by the VP model.

In 2005, Side Airbags AND Side Curtain Airbags became standard on all models. Tail lights were changed to all red.

05+ have the steering radio controls that light up....mine 04 does not and it sucks, its not like I do not know what and where they are its just......well, not fare!

I use them a few times, but I don't like that it is a dedicated button. I wish it were attached to the rear window defogger and turn off with the car.

2005 v6 models had distinct alloy rims for just that year. The not-an-ashtray below the center pocket is all metal or all wood, no plastic bar like in the 03-04s.

my 06 accord ex-l I4 with navi detects when the passenger doesnt have the seat belt on, but my friends 04 accord ex-l v6 doesnt.

06-07 have the seatbelt reminder for the passenger.
04+ has passenger airbag detection to turn it off/on.

Actually, it went from a lifting compartment to a push-down spring-loaded compartment. That's why they got rid of the plastic bar, it acted like a thumb grip.

The sedan taillights changed a little in 2005 (The clear area got smaller), before the complete overhaul for 06.

2003 had the Traction Control System (TCS) on the V6 models. I think in 2005 they called it the Vehicle Stabilizer Assist (VSA) which also retained the TCS functionality.
2004 added the silly passenger airbag light above the hazard button.

He covered that. 2004 EX models featured XM radio, so the display was changed to an alphanumeric display for text.
