Just want to throw this out there, metra makes a kit for the current model camaro. Everyone was stoked when they came out. Unfortunately a year into ownership most of those units developed glitches. Anyone can go over to the Camaro5 board and a little research will show some pretty dissatisfied customers with both Metra and Scoche. Their stuff isn't known to exactly be high quality.

i ordered the Metra kit from 0nlinecarstere0.com on April 29. they said it shipped on April 30, but the order was shipped from their "alternate warehouse" and tracking info would be emailed later. after a week and had not received tracking info, i called them. the rep essentially said that it was shipped from the manufacturer and it was weird that i hadn't received tracking info. he said he would look into and call me back. yesterday, i still hadn't heard anything so i called them back. this time, the rep put be on hold for about 5 minutes and eventually transferred me to voicemail for "Chris". i left him a message with my name and order number, and explained it had been two weeks since the order was placed and still hadn't received tracking info much less the item itself.

now today, i get an email stating that the order has been cancelled and a refund issued.

moral of the story: don't try to order this from 0nlinecarstere0.com, and probably a good idea to verify they actually have the item in stock before ordering even the website says they do.

I am pretty sure Metra has not released the kit yet so this comes as little surprise.

I contacted them asking if is in stock cause Metra has not released it yet and I'm waiting to hear back, its been almost a full day now. I may just get this if they got it cause I have the money and really don't feel like screwing around to fit a single din in place of the pocket under the dash is..
