Im new here, and have a question. Hope it doesn't sound dumb, but I've looked around and haven't found my answer online. I was wondering if it's possible to change the Hybrid Sport Single Exhaust to the Dual exhaust like Non-Hybrid Sport? I like the look of the exhaust tips showing. So yes, I'm doing it for aesthetic reasons. :p And before you say "why didn't you just buy the sport"? I needed higher mpg ( i drive about 600 miles per week).. if changing the exhaust is possible, what are the Pros/Cons? This is my first hybrid, so i just wasn't sure if this would do affect the system in any way.

Thanks

Well, if it's a '22 and still under warranty and you ever have issues with the exhaust/warranty that alone may be a reason, not to.

I'm thinking out loud, so please know I'm not criticizing you. I too am thinking about making the rear-end look sportier on our 21 HAH. For me, I'm not sure I would actually change the exhaust layout as that could have other side effects on performance/weight/cost/etc... A quick DDG search showed this "visual" kit to give the dual exhaust look without the larger changes.

You can add tips. There was another one on ebay somewhere but can't find it. This one looks okay but the other one was the sport exhaust conversion. No exhaust change, just the brackets and tips.

Isn't the whole point that you're not creating a lot of exhaust?
I'm new to the hybrid thing, but after doing more research and visiting a muffler shop it sounds like it doesn't change the output so much.. mostly the aesthetics.

That's good to know. Thank you for that. Part of the point of doing this was to also install a diffuser, just because i like the look of more black (for 2 tone) and to see the tips in the back. Gives it a more sporty look. Not trying to turn it into a race car either, just a nice look. It's hard finding a diffuser that doesn't look ridiculous without more of a skirt kit to go with it.. don't really want to do that much at this point though.

No your not going to change the output and even if you did, the way this car works, it wouldn't make it to the ground. I also believe there are some similar accessories like this on AliExpress you may want to take a look at. If your looking to get a slightly deeper tone from the vehicle I recommend getting the UItra Racing center chassis brace. Because it's coming into slight contract with the catalytic converter, one of the end results besides the better handling is the deeper tone.

Thanks for the info! I'll check all this out..

I hear ya. I'd like to make mine look better but I contemplate because it's an Accord. Great car, just not really a tuner car, especially the hybrids. I always look at options for aesthetics but haven't pulled the trigger on any besides winter wheels.

I'm trying to keep the "mods" minimal. It's my daily and i drive ALOT! I've already done the car show thing (in a past life haha) and Im not trying to go all out in any way. Its just fun to make it a little more mine, and a little less like every other accord on the road.. so i'm also taking my time with things i have done to it.

This sounds interesting. I like the look of how the quad tip exhaust looks just for show.

Hey, I saw a YouTube video on a Camry xse hybrid doing a muffler delete and dual exhaust and it sounded great. I want to do that to my Honda accord hybrid and see if it’s anything like that.

Why so you can be sitting at a stoplight and have it sound like your trying to take off? OP did this for looks alone.

Man I’m in the same boat. Have a 2022 hybrid sport accord. Bought a yofer v2 body kit and currently putting on the diffuser. Come to find there will empty holes. Might invest in those exhaust finishers. Purely aesthetic daily driver. Keep me updated on your progress.
