That sounds like a topic that would be covered in the owners' manual, its worth taking a look.

I did look in the manual and it says to not use high pressure water, stick with regular and a mild detergent. Thanks for that, but any other suggestions like what to avoid? When I use to clean my regular car, I would cover the alternator. Definitely using a blower to dry it off and some Rags.

Thanks

Any advise on cleaning engine bay on a hybrid? Not pressure washing or anything, but it's very dusty.

Thanks
I have always used a damp cloth to clean my engine bays- usually twice per year. While I don't have an Accord Hybrid- I did the twice/year wipe down/cleaning with my wife's 2007 Camry Hybrid for about fifteen years until we traded the car in a month or two ago. It never harmed anything or caused any problems and kept the engine bay looking nice.

A damp cloth to wipe off the dirt and grime and a second (dry) cloth to get any residual stuff and to leave the surface dry.

Thank you RC for the info.

I think I will proceed with this method and bottle sprayer to be on the safe side.

There are no oil leaks or anything, it's just dust as I live out in the desert and it gets really windy at times and lots of dust.

UPDATE:

Washed my engine bay
