Hi All,
I got my 2018 Honda Accord 1.5T CVT in San Marino Red a month back. This is my first car ever and i am loving it. I am looking to install a dash cam to record any accident that i hope to not happen. I would like it to be hidden behind the rear view mirror so as to have a more clean look. Please help me with some suggestions. Moderators please merge it if it's a duplicate thread, Thanks.

P.S , Also would love if someone could give me suggestions on what are the possible ways to install it with less wires visible out in the open.

This is what I have installed front and rear of my Accord. Wires are hardly seen and it contains a power pack so that it is recording 24/7...

You can usually tuck the wires up inside the A/B/C pillars on just about any car; I did that for my 6th gen and you can't see any wiring except right where the camera is and where it pops out and plugs into the accessory socket.

Thanks a lot guys. Also if anyone has suggestions for a dash cam with GPS Navigation that would be great too.
Just curious, why do you want a GPS with your dashcam? I also have 2 dashcams with GPS, but I think they come with disadvantages more than advantages, such as incriminating yourself with the driving speed inside the metadata. My next dashcam will not have GPS. Cheaper too.

And this is one reason I don't have a dashcam - none that I know of require or even allow the use of a password to prevent unauthorized viewing of the video. If I get in a wreck that I caused, and I'm unconscious, then I can't refuse access to the dashcam.

This is what I use. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00JJ3SQRI/ It has been very solid, if you Google the G1W you'll see that it is highly praised. It looks huge in the photos but it is actually small. Nice thing is it has a screen so if something happens you can play it back on the spot for the police. Just be careful as the camera is so good that there are counterfeits. That link is the exact page that I bought mine from.

I had 2 Thinkware cams, one for front and back and they both crapped out in less than a year. And you need proprietary software to play the video back on a PC, so you couldn't just keep a tablet in the car to put the SD card in if something happens.

I bought the BlackSys CH-200, like it so far but the app isn't the greatest and doesn't have a lot of support in the US market. Installation was pretty easy, bought a fuse tap and trim tools to help. I looked online and researched a lot, seems like most dash cams have pluses and negatives, this site helped a lot with researching:

I meant like GPS Navigation or SAT NAV. I wanted both in my car , So i thought it would be better to have them both in just one device.

Curious if you or anyone can explain to me how to route the wires to the back. I understand the a, B and c pillars.... But just as you get past the a pill, for example... There is harder plastic before you get to the weather stripping. Will that fold up/pull out? I do not want to screw this up.

I picked up a Viofo A119
I am also a fan of the Viofo A119 and the A119S. They are highly rated for price and their video quality daytime & night. They have a discreet look and available with or without GPS. Price is generally at or below $100. The A119S is the newest model with the Sony CMOS sensor. The US distributor is SpyTec for Viofo and readily available on Amazon.

Street Guardian's dashcams are A-1 and have great support
Looks almost identical to the VIOFO dash cams - they must be different brands and tweaks of the same, fundamental camera from the same Chinese factory.
