As with anything you buy on ebay, what works for me might not work for you. Use this as a reference....it took me two grilles to get it right

So you just received your grille....

I found that the grille will go in with some grinding BUT no gluing or taking the grille apart. All that is unnecessary. All you need to do is grind down the lower portion of the chrome pieces along with the black plastic at the corners of the grille. You will also need to shave down the black trim that holds the screws. Be careful not to go too far. Here are a couple of pics at different angles....

Aside from the grille, I also shaved down a little bit from the bumper. This little nudge gives room for the screw that prevents the grille from sitting flush. Do this to both sides

You will still end up with small gaps at the top corners, which will very minimal for darker cars. The grille will sit pretty flush afterwards. Here I used two screws at the top corners to hold the grille down and it won't go anywhere.

Here is the final product with double sided tape on the bottom of the whole grille to minimize any gaps. Good luck...

I love you and hate you all in the same breath right now mate !! :lmao:

Kudo's on the install ... how's the rad cover line up with this grill ? Particularly where the hood lever is located ?

Thanks for the write up, I think this is a project I will tackle this winter. How well does the "cooling plate" align with the new grill? Are the clips all located correctly?

Can you provide information for the seller for those interested in purchasing this grill?

^ that's the seller Mike ; only ever posts a small handful of these grills every once in a while - so you need to keep you eye out or set up an email notification through Ebay ...

Also, like I mentioned earlier... none of the holes line up. That's why I used two screws to hold the grille down which works great. Use double sided tape if it gives you peace of mind...

I hadn't taken any notice before but my 2004 Australian Accord (Thailand import) has that same grill but without the additional chrome bonnet cover strip. Hmm, time to get a cover strip!
