Ok, my friend keeps telling to use this gas. I don't think it would be good in my car due to, I only have a slow stock 4 cylinder. I have been hearing about it and I see it at gas stations in some Maryland areas.

What do you all think about it? Should I listen to him? Should I even waste my time or money?

Honda does produce a CNG version of the Civic that runs on natural gas. Other than that unless I'm not aware of it, Honda engines run on unleaded regular or higher octane gas depending on model.

So... Running Ethanol blend on your stock 4-cyl Honda isn't only not worth it, but it will damage your car.

Friends encourage friends to read the owner's manual. Ditch your friend.

Your engine will die within a few seconds of running E85 fuel. That is because it is made up of 15% gasoline, and 85% ethanol (no natural gas as mentioned above). Your engine and fuel system can't handle it. You will damage your engine, fuel tank, fuel lines, fuel injectors, and maybe the fuel pump.

Your "friend" is no friend- but someone who wants to hurt you. You need to lure that "friend" into a prison and have that friend shanked, as depicted in this short but educational video....

In my humble opinion, everyone connected to promoting ethanol should be deported or shanked.

You ARE confused. 7th gen Accord will happily run on 10% ethanol but no more. That is all that is available is most parts of the USA. E85 is a huge NO NO.

What kind of car does your (so called) friend drive? If he is using this gas, and doesn't have a car specifically designed for E85, his car will be NFL (Not For Long).

V8 AMG That's what I was trying to tell him like he is crazy.
E85 is 85% ethanol and will damage fuel lines and other parts of the fuel system if used in cars not designed for it. And as far as I know, most Mercedes vehicles are not designed for E85.

Also, even if you do have a car which can use E85, and even if E85 is cheaper, it may not be worth it. Keep in mind that ethanol has a lower energy content than gasoline. As a result, E85 (85% ethanol/15% gasoline) will typically give 25% lower MPG compared to normal gasoline (10% ethanol/90% gasoline). So, even if E85 costs 25% less, you are not actually saving any money.

I think a car that runs on E85 would be clearly marked as such. Like most GM SUVs I see these days. They all seem to have little badges (of honor??) to show they run on E85.

Or, like this.

I'm not sure if he has used it yet, I just know he keeps talking about it. I told him that I can't use it in my car when he first told me about it. I know he & his father has a few more cars and trucks. I think he has just been watching too much YouTube to tell you the truth.

He wants you to use E85, and hasn't used it in his own car? If so, with friends like him, you don't need enemies. You sure this guy doesn't secretly hate you? Maybe he's a huge Godfather fan. "keep your friends close, and your enemies closer".

Some Chryslers do, labeled as FlexFuel.
My '01 Town & Country is a FlexFuel vehicle and it says on the gas cap that it can take E85, but the closest E85 pump was like an hour away from me and it's still not good for the engine...just because you can doesn't mean you should!

Lol No, he just does a lot of dumb things that he should not do to his car. Then he wonders why his car messes up all the time. He did something to his brakes a while back now he as to pay about over 2 g's to get it fix. But he is pretty well off so money isn't a big deal to him. Now, he is getting a fully loaded Tela P90D. I am just waiting for him to mess that up lmfao. This is like his 3rd car in two years, the AMG I mean.

I am Confused - His father has an 07 300 (Well had they sold it) and a van I think it's a Chrysler. Didn't get a good look at it.
