Long time follower of these forums and I've finally found a question that doesn't seem to have been asked about my 07 Accord.

Does anyone know how difficult/possible it would be to remove the trunk of my Accord and swap it for another one I can get from a junk yard? I got a good dent in mine a few years ago but the repair cost was too expensive to justify fixing it.

I did not do it yet, and I might not do it; the hail damage on my trunk is not that bad. But the above thread has the information I found when I started researching it. Still dunno what the deal is with the electrical harness; if you need to back out all of the electrical out of the lid or there is some sort of connection under trunk padding.

See this was my biggest concern as well. The wiring harness looks a little tricky.

Does anyone know hard far back it goes in the car? I'll be removing the one at the junk yard myself so as long as it's practical to get to with hand tools I should have no problem.

Also I keep reading it's just these 4 bolts but I can seem to identify where they are

Maybe stop by a body shop & ask them, I had my trunk replaced after a pick up truck ran into it.

The biggest issue will be the cable for the trunk release itself.

If removing from the junkyard, just cut everything below the hinge and you'll have a practice piece!

Practice removing the harness while you're in the junkyard. If you eff that one up you just walk away.

I'm partial to youtube videos, myself. Believe there is one with Civic trunk removal. Can't be much different.

They've got more than one Accord so I may use one as a sacrifice before I take the one that matches the color of my car haha

In case anyone was wondering the Civic video for trunk removal is great guide for the Accord as well. This is extremely easy in my experience
