Whats the trick to installing the speed sensor so the car doesnt destroy it? Ive gone through 3 since having the transmission rebuilt. I am using the spacer (item 12) in the diagram but its still too close to 2nd gear and is getting chewed up. Thinking im going to make a thin washer out of an old credit card for the next try.

Your transmission is modified, right? Are you still using the original 2nd gear?
Otherwise just grab some crush washers or something and make a spacer. It might take some fiddling but the speed sensor doesn't need to be super close to the gear?

Yeah its still the original 2nd gear. Its actually a really perfect ratio for digging out of "slow" corners with the tsx motor letting us rev to 7200rpm. Im gonna fiddle with spacers. Thanks for the advice
