I live in Long Island on a small dead end street. Maybe 12 houses on my street. When i first got the car i received a lot of compliments from my neighbors and didnt think much of it, its a Honda for crying out loud. Ive had mine since June 2016 and my next door neighbor (thats a lie, there's one house b/t his and mine), nonetheless a very close neighbor just pulled up in the exact same spec car that i have. It kind of tickled my nerves. Wassup with that? A different color i wouldnt give a rats (BUTTOCKS) but same exact spec? I dont know man just thought he could differentiate himself just a little. I wouldnt dare do that, especially if I ran into that neighbor every day.

Well, Accord Sport is a pretty affordable and common car. Of course this would happen.

My old 8th Gen Coupe was not nearly as common.

There are 16 houses on my block. 10 years ago there were 8 Accords. Five years ago someone traded an Accord for a Kia Optima/Hyundai Sonata, then those replaced Accords. One neighbor is trading in the Kia for a 10th gen Accord later this year- no more Kias for them.

CR-Vs are breeding like rabbits now....Three new ones this year.

One neighbor bought a 2004 Accord Coupe V6 one day before I brought home my 2005 Accord Coupe I4. They had black, I had graphite pearl. It was kinda funny because at night, they looked the same.

It’s an Accord. They sell thousands of the same trim spec and color every month. You can’t throw a dead cat anywhere without it bouncing off two identical or nearly identical Honda Accords.

One of the very few advantages of Honda trading strategies - there is one chance in a million I can experience anything like that ;). If I could afford to buy a mercedes, a bmw or an audi, I wouldn't feel so comfortable...

Well, from a cosmetic perspective, I'd say it's time to customize your ride with different lights, wheels, suspension, tints... :smile

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. There was one neighborhood near me back in early 2000's and everyone had an Accord they were so praised on Car Talk. I thought what is the big deal? It's just a small Japanese sedan. Little did I know how die hard Accord fans are or what a great vehicle it was. Personally I am happy to see other Accords in my neighborhood. Especially since I had the first 9th Gen on the block ;)

At one point, our block was filled with an Accord and Odyssey in every driveway.

Now, there's a Pilot in almost every driveway. And more Accords in the neighborhood than ever before.

They just didn't realize you were the Michael Jordan of Honda Accords. Inform them your color is "retired" like #23.

Haha. I purchased a 2017 LX sedan in lunar silver. There's another exact same car on my street. His is a 2016. I hope he's not mad at me. Looks like your car is modern steel which seems to be a very popular color. There are a bunch of modern steel accords in our neighborhood. I wanted silver so I purchased silver regardless of there being another on my street. What do I care. Either one of us could move any time,

Look at it this way, his car is the newer of the two, so maybe they'll steal his wheels instead of yours... :devil
Or, the thieves could say "JACKPOT" and leave both of them on the rotors one night. Hahaha

My neighbor has an Alabaster Silver EX L just like mine. Mine is a V6 and his is a 4 cyl, but visually they're identical- Mine has splash guards which is the only visual diff as his doesn't. Still kinda bugs me, but doesn't take away from the enjoyment of my car

While I still had my 2004, neighbor bought the 2008, we'd park side by side, and on a pretty constant basis, at night, we'd be trying to get into the wrong car. Both Black, both with stock rims.

Right now, I'm the only one with any gen accord , coupe or otherwise, for 4 blocks in any direction. It's all SUV's, Minis and Mercs.
