Have you heard from them? 🔧
Nothing in particular. For one of my updates (I think around 800k), they responded and said they would send my update to their different teams to let them know of the accomplishment. Otherwise it's been just a general response that they're glad I'm a happy Honda customer.

I do think an 11th gen Accord Hybrid EX-L in Canyon River Blue Metallic with black interior looks like a very pretty color combination or a Ridgeline or CR-V... cough.

There has been no indication they'll want this engine or my car so I'm pushing ahead with the engine swap soon and will just keep going. I've had the new engine for over 2 wks. Haven't even got it on the stand yet. Been driving a bunch lately.

I'm driving the car to the HDay event Apr 15-16 and will be putting it in the show. The car is getting some decent traction on Instagram. HDay's social media team posted my reels to their followers. Some people wanted to see it up there so I worked it out.

Vendors, car show, and racing at Maryland International Raceway in Mechanicsville, MD.

Sounds like a fun time. We'll probably have a couple of fellow DA friends there in attendance too. It would be nice to meet some others from here too.

(hopes he doesn't hit an animal, run over road debris, or have a major part fail before then)

Best of luck! And 50,000 miles a year for 20 years is insane, better get a video of it rolling over. (When it is safe of course)

Congrats to @TX Accord for being the first 7th gen Accord V6 with officially 1 MILLION MILES on the clock! And on the original engine! Props to to the J30 for keep running even with misfires, its reliability is undeniable!

Now go ask Honda for a free engine swap? ;)

@TX Accord Congrats! That's just amazing. So I looked it up and the moon is roughly 239,000 miles from the earth. It varies of course due to its orbit. Still you could have made the trip four times and starting off on your fifth time. Just another way of looking at it.

Again, congrats. That's amazing!

This engine has been amazing. Still just trucking along on 5cyls for the past 80k miles. I wish that part hadn't happened, but it shows how durable they are.

Thanks for your advice along the way. I can't wait to see how this new engine does after doing the same mods as you did to yours.

Thank you! There's so much luck involved too that I didn't hit anything hard enough or get hit hard enough by someone else to make the car unrepairable.

Saw your car featured on Road and Track this week haha. Congrats.

One of the reasons why I still love Honda and Toyota and own a vehicle from each. Their cars just keep chugging along fine when even supposedly bullet proof EVs have gone to the scrap yards.

@internalaudit thanks! It picked up quickly. New article on The Drive, MSN, Jalopnik, Road and Track. Local TV station interview in the morning. HDay IG acct put it in their story again.

Wow, this week has been crazy. The car's story is getting shared all over the internet and I'm so excited people are hearing about its accomplishment. Thank you all for your support and well wishes. It means a lot.

So the car has had a big week. It made the 2,400 mile round trip to Gatlinburg, TN to celebrate. I made it home Monday late afternoon. Drove it to work Tuesday. Back to the grind:

This is just funny to me. At least it waited til I got back from the trip. This was radiator #3 that started leaking. I distinctly remember replacing it the last time because I was on a delivery and the car started to overheat in a nearby town. My wife had to come get me so I could finish the delivery. Then I went back to the restaurant I parked at because of the problem. Luckily the local O'Reilly's had one in stock. Knowing it would be messy to change away from my garage, I pulled into a nearby car wash and changed it.

I knew it had been awhile since I changed this so I searched on here for the post... nothing. That was strange. I found the receipt (slight hoarder tendencies finally paid off). Radiator #3 was installed on July 30, 2019. That was before I started posting here. Next I looked at my mileage app for deliveries. On, July 30, 2019, the car had around 551,500.

This was a Murray brand radiator from O'Reilly's that came with a lifetime warranty. Since I got almost exactly 450,000 miles from the radiator, I thought that was good enough and just bought another from O'Reilly's today - same brand.

Leaky, leaky in the garage:

Bro, don't you ever wash your car?

Just drove down to the car wash. Getting ready for a TV interview in the morning so I had to make it look good. Both fans work and it held normal temp on the gauge. Back in business.

Obligatory: the science experiment continues!

(Nearly a half million miles on a parts-store radiator? Consider this OEM-only snob impressed!!)

Yeah, this one failed on the bottom tank. The last one failed up at the top. Honda says discontinued now, but that just means backordered.

I didn't see any Denso brand from what I remember. Rock Auto had an all aluminum radiator, but didn't cross over to my part number so I didn't try that. I'm thankful this one started failing with seepage so I could get it home. The last one was sudden and I'm glad I caught the temp gauge going hot that time.

Still amazed I got 450k out of the last radiator.

Try this one and let us know. If the budget allows. I had been looking at this for a while.
