... so I decided to wrap the track pad with some 3D carbon fiber vinyl to match the black cup holder. It turned out great so I decided to wrap my ugly wooden trim too so it all matched...

Nicely done James - looks very clean !!

skim coat of bondo to fill it in?
You guys on this forum love to do body work... The problem is getting the color to match. My research led me to believe there is no perfect color match for the gunmetal so I don't want to cover them up. It doesn't bother me that much, I like being a poser.

Yea, I need it to be perfect or I will go crazy. I've seen pictures of the TL-S wheels with the HFP Bronze caps and it wasn't close at all IMO. The closest I've seen were HFP Silverstar caps and I couldn't find pics of anyone that used one of the Honda gray center caps like the Sport or Si wheels have and didn't want to take the risk. The wife gave me one shot.

Talked to my body shop guy and agreed on a price to paint the 7.5 front bumper. Both grilles coming in monday and the inspire fogs early sept. Planning to install them on the first week of sept.

Never forget Mike, happy wife = happy life brother ...

new spark plugs =D old ones didnt look too bad (going by NGK's chart). nothing out of the ordinary. changed at 75k =]

No Mike, YOU are the man. Handling family, work, a trusty Accord, and some old American iron.

I'll hit you up when I know I'll be going that way.

(Don't laugh but I always stop at a Waffle House- I love that place. Waitresses call me "hon" and I just melt.)

Hey, do you run any fuel additive in the Impala? I seem to remember some of the pre-1974 engine parts needed leaded gas?
Well, found the problem. Broken pushrod. Never seen that before but this is a tired, tortured old engine. Coworker has some spare used ones, if they are the right length it should get me through the rest of the cruising season until I can swap in the 283.

I know on my 911 i have issues with the heat off the air cooled engine boiling the ethanol off in the gas lines cause the check valve in the fuel pump doesnt hold pressure long enough to keep it from happening.

Used to have to add bottles of "liquid lead" as well, but replaced the old 70s era valve guides with ones made from harder metal so aside from the ethanol issue the car can take regular pump without any issue or extra products
I'll have to do some research on that...Haven't heard about it much but you never know. Thanks for the info.

Here at DA, it's not all about driving an Accord, but about driving an Accord in accord-ance to the wife.

I use an Apple Magic wireless trackpad, which is silver in color, to control my iPad mini so I don't have to lean forward to change anything on my screen. I leave it in my cup holder but the silver color against the brown wooden trim really bothered me, so I decided to wrap the track pad with some 3D carbon fiber vinyl to match the black cup holder. It turned out great so I decided to wrap my ugly wooden trim too so it all matched. I have to admit, the black carbon fiber really improved the look of my "beige" interior. I use to hate my shift knob and wanted to do an '07 swap with a manual OEM leather boot, but the perforated "leather" on my shift knob and e-brake really looks great with the 3D carbon fiber pattern.

Also, JTL, your picture has got me that much closer to doing that upper dash panel mod... I love it more and more every time I see it. I have been tossing around the idea of wrapping my interior trimmings with the CF wrap as well; my current interior trimming has some scratches and what not that could greatly benefit from being covered up. Plus, the CF wrap is not very far off at all from the current "CF" trim my black interior has anyways.

Today i finally decided to do the DIY Mesh Grille on my '03 V6. I can't decided if i should do the upper part as well, or not.. What do you guys think? It was a very easy and subtle mod. Next weekend the 18x8 Machined Black Kyowa Racing wheels go on. Gotta find tires first though haha. I'll post pics of those also.

Installed the 20mm H&R Trak+ spacers on the front today. They shipped and arrived in only 1 day - I was quite impressed. Anyhow, the outcome was just as I expected. The new +35mm offset really improves the look of the HFP wheels (what they should've been from the start)

Those looks nice! Your post says you only installed them on the front, but the back looks done as well... I ordered some 25mm Ichiba spacers a few days ago, i hope they come in before this weekend :) DA have you noticed any difference in ride feel? vibration or anything in the turns, anything like that? just wondering. Looks great again!

lol go back a page my friend...the rear's are done also ;) I used to have two pairs (20mm & 25mm) back when I had my OEM 17's but decided to sell the 25mm ones after I went with the 19x8.5 +35 (RR) Hyundai Gen coupe track wheels. After selling them and buying the 19x8 +55 HFP wheels, the very high offset (Honda is notoriously known for) was driving me nuts. So, I decided to throw the 20mm ones on the rear just to see how they'd look. It was then that I knew I had to order another pair for the front as the lower offset completely enhances the look of the HFPs

The H&R TRAK+ are 64.1mm 5x114.3 hubcentric spacers made in Germany. I have used H&R products before when I had my Audi and knew I could trust their quality. I'm sure others can chime in on the Ichiba brand but I have no personal experience with them. But no, I have absolutely no shakes, vibrations, noises, etc. due to their hubcentric design and top quality

Yeah, sorry man! Just saw the spacers and got excited to comment; didn't look a page back. Well, anyway it looks good.. The offset is definitely bothering me as well.. Can't wait to get the Ichibas; will post pics also. I have heard good things about them, and did a little research before buying, and they seemed pretty nice actually. The H&Rs are known to be the best though, without a doubt. Those HFP wheels looks really slick. Nice!

I went to buy some CF paper after seeing JTL's picture and found a small rust spot on my roof right next to the windshield, seems like when they replaced it, they scraped off some paint removing the old one and it just rusted. Gonna get that fixed up on saturday. I'm paranoid about rust, it just takes over. Gonna wrap the roof in glossy black vinyl when I do the 7.5 swap.

Wow, well done JTL! Any close up pictures for us tan guys?

Do it! if you don't like it, then peel it off. A 12" X 60" is only $19 on eBay.

That wrap is very clean nice job!

Just placed an order at Bernardi for new front fender liners - I lost (misplaced?) a couple of the washer bolts when I was finishing up the TL retro and it got dark outside and both liners got eaten by my tires. So for months now I've been driving around with zip-tied liners with big holes in them LOL (can you say...balla?) So, I'm finally going to get around to replacing them!
