My 2014 Honda Accord Sport has ~220k miles on it. About 50% of the time when I start the car there is a sort of rattling sound for all of half a second. The timing chain has never been replaced, and I know that if it gives out the car is essentially totaled. Wanted to get some opinions for getting the chain replaced. Very trustworthy mechanic quoted ~$1400 for a full replacement of the chain, sprockets, tensioners, etc. Is this something I do not need to worry about or should I go ahead and get this done?
For some additional context, I am not planning on getting a new car any time soon and would love to have this one basically until it dies on me.
