1) when I first got the car, I connected my phone thru wires less CarPlay etc and had no issues

2) I’ve had the car for almost 9 months and the trial for atnt is only for 3 months so why would my Google assistant and everything that worked fine the first 6 months randomly stop after the trial

does turning on the atnt change something ? Can you change the settings back? Honda like always needs to stop avoiding the issue and make a fix cause it’s not making sense.
I have 3 years unlimited Data. Says that on the window sticker. Are Canadian Hondas only 3 months?

Apparently, he signed up for the free ATT trial period, that's for 3 mths. Sounds like the trial period ended around same time we all experienced the network failure so that has apparently caused some confusion. The two issues are unrelated.

So I just got off the phone with Honda Canada and she told me the reason it’s not working it’s because I don’t have internet on the car. And I need either the subscription or to tether the car to my phone … either she didn’t understand my issues or Honda is on another level of delulu for my gps to work only with a paid subscription

Maybe I'm confused, if I turn off data on my phone Google anything can't work. How are you expecting Google to work without an internet connection?
This isn't the same as built in Nav.

So my car was always connected thru my phone ? Sorry that’s also what I’m trying to understand. Because my service stopped working randomly and if I have to turn something on I will. ( that is not the paid atnt subscription)

No, my point is you had a free trial and it ended and thus your service.
You are putting too much into the randomness of it. These are big companies; I've had trials last longer than they were supposed too before.
This isn't a built in Nav, if you want any of the Google services to work, you need to get the AT&T service. It's not going to work through your phone.

What year/model is your Accord?

Canadian Hondas?"
It's not a Canadian Honda. Where it's build has nothing to do with it. Your posts aren't very clear.
Let me explain. A Honda built for sale in a different country may get different options. As an example, heated steering wheels, and larger windshield washer reservoirs (with dash warning), in cars meant for sale in Canada.

So my question was, why did ThiftyPlain, who has a Canadian flag next to his screen name, only get a 3 month trial of AT&T Data when I got 3 years? Could that be another difference in cars sold in Canada? It would be interesting to see his window sticker. Mine clearly says 3 years.

Sorry for the confusion.

I understand that.
Issue is reading through thread I mistakenly confused you with ThiftyPlain.

yikes. I don’t know what my sticker says. I don’t think mine had it when I picked it up? I’m gonna have to peek around and see if it’s in the folder they gave me. If not then I guess the 10 dollar a month thing is a go since the car doesn’t have any other gps other than google lol

The dealer removed mine and gave it to me with other papers. I'm sure your dealer should have done the same. I am really curious to see if you only got a 3 month trial, and that is what it says on the sticker. If you have a data plan for your cell phone, you can tether the phone to the car, and use Google Maps. That's if your AT&T trial is over.

If you can't find the sticker, I would go to a dealer and look at the sticker on an Accord Touring in the parking lot. It's right under the MSRP on the sticker.

That's not true. The car comes with free unlimited data for 3 yrs. The ATT package you buy is for using your car's data connection as a hotspot. Mine had stopped working for a couple weeks then we had the big ATT cell blackout the other day. Friday j called to let Honda In Car serviced know my data wasn't working. It had actually been back working and didn't find out til I decided to check my car while I was on hold. They were having problems with their system so there were quite a few customers who couldn't get their car's data to work. My car is almost a year old and still have access to the Google services.

Thank you for ur respectful response, I knew that didn’t make sense :)

Thanks everyone for the help I got. I got a clear answer from Honda. The 3 years is only in the US by ATNT, Bell which is the one in Canada is not giving that at all. They don’t have an answer as to why the system worked for 6 months and then it didn’t but they did say that in order for it to work I need to have the mobile plan for the car. Thanks for the help with the questions
