So I went to see my Honda mechanic yesterday about annoying clicking on the clutch pedal coming from interlock switch. He said I can hear it because the car doesn't have the panel cover that is above pedals that covers most of the wiring and such there. There is a cover on the passenger area. What threw me off is he said there are clips on the driver's side so he's not sure if Honda went cheap and didn't put it there or it's actually missing either due to dealership or factory. Can you guys look on your car, it is the cover that goes above pedals (not the one that attaches to the steering wheel column but the one above pedals that covers wiring, switches, etc. Thanks!

Can you attach a photo so we can see what you are talking about? Most cars are missing some type of cover above the gas/brake pedals.

I have an older Accord, but my car does not have a panel above the pedals as you describe. I was under the impression that they don't put panels there at all, on most cars...for one thing, it would cover up the OBDII port.

I don't have the car with me today, it's snowing in Chicago so I'm driving my 95 Accord. The new one is 2016 Sport model if that makes a difference, I don't know if some trims have it and some don't. I found closest to what it looks like online, can't say 100% it looks like this because I don't have the car here but I also wouldn't even know what it looks like as it's not there :) The picture is from Porsche but you get the idea what I'm talking about.3

My 1995 Accord EX has the cover, it has a cutout for OBD port. But a lot could have changed in 21 years that my cars are apart so that's why I'm asking. Thanks

Only V6s get the cover.

As stated earlier, it's standard on the 2016 V6's models, and and can easily be added to the 4 bangers. I ran up to CHH and bough one for mine Monday (was adding the interior foot well lighting package, thought why not add this too..)

Driver's Lower Insulator Cover - 77321-T2F-KIT - College Hills Honda
After looking at the picture in that link and also under the dash on my car (a 2016 V6), I can report that yes, the V6 has that part installed already, and no, it does not cover the wiring or fuse panel. I didn't remove mine, so I'm not sure exactly what it covers, but if you buy it thinking it's going to cut down on noise from the pedal pivot area, I suspect you're going to be disappointed.

(There was another thread on this subject a couple weeks back.)

I ended up getting lots-o Amazon gift cards for Xmas, so the ambient interior lamp pack was basically a "freebie." :D

Looks like CCH bumped the price of the insulator cover kit. Mine was $26 & change. Still a good deal for those looking. It does facilitate a better mounting point for the driver side LED.

Worked out great!

Edit: looks like the ambient kit for the coupe has the panel, the sedan kit does not. Strange...

Yes, it does.

Just look at the parts list in the official installation instructions. My car had one already so I didn't need to use the one included in the kit but the kit DID include that panel.

Hmmm, mine didn't come with the panel. Was from an authorzied Honda dealer listed on Amazon. Strange, but no big deal. Actually, the instructions for the 2016 model year SEDAN do not show it as kit inclusive. No bigl deal for me, the job is done, and looks great.

OK, no problem. There was another thread where someone bought the lighting kit and it came with the panel.

The Honda ambient light kit I just installed came with the panel. Since I have a Touring w/V-6, I now have an extra.

Interesting. Looking at the blue light kit instructions for the sedan, it does not come with the panel but the red light kit (coupe and sport) does.
