I personally name my vehicles off of experiences. Like my current accord I bought has an R title and the guy i bought it from (private sale) was a total tool. So after a while decided to go with "Fiona", a reference to the Shrek movie. Comparing the car to a princess whom I saved but once free'd could handle herself. haha, I perhaps put too much thought into these things. Its a lot like baby names, if there's one with meaning it sticks better and has more value imo. Id say drive it for a bit til something strikes you, or the car names itself.

Why not "My and the bank's Accord":grin

I'm looking for a name for my Accord any ideas

2017 Accord Touring Lunar Silver
I'm thinking of a name for my new ride as well! I named my previous accord "H". I know it's not original but that's what I was able to think up.

Try one of the many car name generators:

The car name generator

Car Name Generator

The car namer

The first one even lets you print a "Certified copy of a naming certificate" which I guess you can tape to the dashboard (or not...)

And be sure to tell us what name your car got! :grin

What names have you given to your Refrigerator & Washing machine ? They are mechanical too.
But they don't have personality like a LSM Accord does and they don't go anywhere with you...

If I told you what I called the refrigerator I -unexpectedly- had to replace last week, I'd probably get banned from this forum for life. :0

All of my cars have names (see signature). Don't let these guys discourage you into not doing it. If you drive it and a name comes to mind, that's the name!

Personally, two of my cars are named after women in songs - Selene and Dana - and Harlock just kinda stuck in my head when I drove my Camaro the first couple times. Had I known all the troubles he had back then, I would've named him something more appropriate...you know, like...Lucifer.

Since it's lunar silver in color, I'd suggest maybe something to do with the moon or the stars?

How about Luna?
I would never be comfortable to use anything other than "Accord" or "Honda" to refer to my Accord, but I know some people who do that, all female.

We call my 2014 HAH "Spock" because it is so smart!!!

Boats and ships have names, in some places houses have names, so why shouldn't cars have names too?

My first Honda Accord (vintage 1978) was called Nellie Belle or Nellie, for short. And if you're of a certain age you probably know where I got that name...

How about one of the top 10 most popular Japanese boys and girls names? I just bought a 2014 EX Sedan this morning. The following will work for me: Sara (さら): 佐楽: meaning is: Comforting Music. ...After all, I am listening to music all the time as I drive, have 3 sisters, 3 daughters and am blessed with lots of testosterone. The Bible character was pretty special too.

Ima call it The Mechanics Car. Today is day 9 of it being in the dealers shop. :0

I'm not going postal because they gave me a 2016 Civic loaner, and all I have to pay is gas for it.
Something is funny here. My car is past the 8 year extended warranty. Are they using it as a teaching case? :paranoid:

All 3 of these want to know my cars gender.
Where are the naughty bits on may car?
Because I have no idea. :drink:

I had named my 98 Prelude SH "Betty White", because she was an old sassy B* but still awesome! So when I sold it and got my cbp 6-6 coupe, I went with "Black Betty" since it was kinda sentimental and also it's the song from Blow lol

I dunno... I personally feel a bit strange naming my car. Seems like more girls name their cars than guys.

One of my female friends asked me one day if my car has a name. I unofficially named it Clyde, which is named after one of my mom's cats, who, along with his sister, is named after the infamous outlaw duo. The reason being that Clyde has dark gray and silver fur, kinda similar to my Polished Metal Metallic Accord, and a lot of people describe the V6's noise as a nice "purring". I still just say "Accord Coupe" daily, though.

If I really want to name my car in the future, I will probably pull something from Chinese. More mysterious and cool that way. :grin

Most people go by the transmission type...automatic is female, manual is male. But one of my cars I refer to as male even though it's automatic.
