I had my car in today for this issue (has happened 3x in the first month) and of course they were not only unable to replicate it, but the report they showed me didn't show any error codes reported. I'm finding that when I restart the car, the system works fine.

So, I guess the only way to address this is to drive to a Honda dealer when it happens and before I turn the car off.

I'm not tech support but I do a lot of support and that's the exact solution I provide. Sometimes you just don't have anything to offer.

Next time take pictures or videos. Also, don't accept the restart solution. It's not acceptable in a $500 PC any more but those $500 PC's have conditioned us to accept behavior that we shouldn't.

Old war story that isn't mine, exactly. I used to have a Mercury Capri. When cornering between 35 and 45 mph the steering wheel would violently shake in your hands. I mean back and forth more than an inch on regular road, not crazy driving. The car was my fathers, I got it as a hand-me-down, but he says he took it to the dealer many times and "gosh, we just can't duplicate the problem". I drove that thing for a few years, it was actually fun to drive, and it did that every single time.

Video would have been a powerful tool and it also helps to get the tech to believe you.

I showed the service advisor this very thread (the first post had a picture of the error) and he ran a diagnostic on the car and didn't get any error codes in the software, so what else is there?

I just got this error message on my 2018 Honda Accord 2.0t MT6. I'm halfway through the first tank of gas and the car have under 200km on(less than 120 miles). I'm putting those info in case there's a trend.

First thing I checked when I arrived to destination after seeing this error message (it appeared while driving) is the Honda Sensing device and sure enough there was snow covering the whole thing. The messages are still there after cleaning it up the Honda Sensing device and also after powering the car off and on again.

Looks like I got to visit to the Honda dealer this week!

Three days ago the Collision Braking Mitigation, Road Departure and ACC "see your dealer" warnings came on while driving in some awful, snowy, slushy conditions. When I got to my destination, I looked at the front sensing unit and saw that it was covered in a thick layer of ice - which I couldn't remove easily. Every start since then has resulted in the display of the same three "see your dealer" errors, even though the ice has now melted off of the sensor. I guess I have to find time to take it to the dealer now.
For what it's worth - after a number of days of having the error lights (while waiting for my appt with the dealer) the errors went away. After the outside temp warmed up, the ice in the wheel wells started to melt. On my way home from work one night, I went over railroad tracks and the bump / vibration apparently knocked some more ice loose, the "BRAKE" light (the collision warning one) came on in the dash for 1 sec, and then all the warning lights cleared.

My experience, combined with what someone said about having issues with a brake switch needing replaced, lead me to believe that ice can build up in a way that prevents the car from engaging the emergency braking system and as a result throws a bunch of error messages to warn you.

Just got the same warning today and came here to see if anyone else got it. Turning off the car and turning it back on made it go away, but definitely going to the dealer Monday.
I have this and other problems with the system...but the car runs beautifully and it doesn't affect performance. Turning the car off and on again resets the warning, but it's happened three times so far. The cruise will not work 'til reset.

Have you taken this to the dealer and what did they say or do?

I have not taken it in. The error has not occurred since. Car has been great otherwise, thus far.

Just a quick update.. Right now, for the last 10-ish days, we are having very cold temperature in Calgary, Canada (around -20 celcius) and usually my car sleep outside but last night I parked in an underground heated parking because I highly suspect it's only the ice/cold giving trouble to some sensors or something (Honda Sensing?) and causing that ACC error message.

So this morning when I started the car the 3 error messages were still there. The drive to the Honda dealer takes 15 minutes and halfway there, Voila! all is green and no more error message showing up. I still went to Honda and the guy there said more or less what I was thinking and said not to worry about it, he gave me his card in case this happen again, gave me a lecture on my tinted windows, and sent me home.

Long story short, the problem got resolved by itself after the car passed a night in a heated underground parking. I'm an happy camper and fingers crossed this doesn't happen again.

I did take it in to the dealer and they said it was just a warning and showed me their trouble shooting guide, #U0401-92 Temporary stop of Integrated Driver Support System. The error hasn't come up again yet, but next time I'll take a video of it and show them I can't clear the message without turning off the car.

I have owned a 2016 Maxima SL which comes with a similar [ or same ] warning system. This problem which is in the manual occurs when the radar is obstructed by heavy rain, snow, ice or fog. It is temporarily blinded.

I would think the next logical step to the camera/radar becoming completely obstructed that way, would be to light a warning light on the dash indicating as such (obstructed or obfuscated enough to affect the system) and then DISABLE THE SYSTEM until it is no longer under that condition. Not just having it go unannounced until "Oh no, can't see anything, better throw the warning and slam on the brakes!"

Turning it off and giving control back to the driver is better than having it go off at random.

It does have that warning. I had a "camera/sensor obstructed" message pop up a few weeks ago during a snow storm. I don't remember the exact message text verbatim, but it was a warning for sure. I was able to dismiss it via the scroll button on the steering wheel and drive on no issue. the front sensor was covered in snow.

So it has that capability to detect that, but doesn't do anything but say "Hey, can't see anything out here"?

I guess I am not tracking here. What are you expecting it to do exactly? A little arm pop out with a rag and wipe the sensor off a la Jetsons style?:laugh
The warning that I had stayed on until I acknowledge it by dismissing it. I don't think it would be something you would want to automatically disable on it's own, the system wants you to acknowledge there is a problem.
Fortunately i have not experienced a phantom trip that initiated the brakes like some seem to have in this and the other thread.

This is happening regularly for me at this point and the dealer has not solved the issue. I contacted American Honda and they have assigned a case manager to me and hopefully they will find a solution.

That's very unfortunate. Please keep us updated on the status of your case. I'd really like to see this resolved for every who is experiencing it.
